After they are gathered, each stone is hand washed, then they are put together as a "set" and, finally, tested for comfort by REAL people on our massage table.
After all these steps, if the stones fit well together, they are individually wrapped. We even label every stone for you. This skill, patience and attention to detail is truly not found in discount massage stone companies.
These top grade stones are NOT available on other websites, in other trainings or in stores. We've been collecting these stones by hand and making the ESSENTIAL SET for stone massage certification trainings since 1997.
Stone Temple's Healing Stone Massage stones are all naturally harvested, never polished, mechanically tumbled or mechanically shaped. Over time and after many immersions into water and oils they will develop a rich patina, but they come to you in their raw + vital state.
This means that there may be variations in color: some stones will be a pale grey or pale green. A stone does not need to be black in order to retain and radiate heat. You will enjoy learning more about these treasures as you work with them and study the Healing Stone Massage training manual.
After being heated to their core (do not use a microwave oven to heat metamorphic stones),the larger body stones in your collection will radiate a gentle warmth for 20 minutes or longer when placed under the body.(TRQ+20)
Smaller stones and those exposed to air will have varying thermal radiance quotients.(TRQ+1-20)
The cooling stones will provide refreshing contrast when used at room temperature, but may even be chilled or frozen without causing damage to the stone.
Massage Stones 101
The composition of massage stones is very important, for it alone determines "thermal radiance potential", or, how long your stones will radiate a CONSISTENT, gentle, warmth. Stones with high iron ore content are like permanent natural magnets, possessing geomagnetic (earth energy) remanence. Their combined energy and heat delivery qualities will amplify the potency of any body therapy that you offer.
It is important that you are familiar with the following criteria when you collect massage stones:
COMPOSITION: Tells you how much and what kind of mineral and ore content in a stone. Ore is a heat and geomagnetic conductor. The greater the ore content,the heavier the stone. Look/feel for density.
SHAPE : Refers to comfort in layouts. Look for stones that fit the natural contours of the body.
TEXTURE : Refers to stone's capacity to exert stimulation to inert lymph fluid in massage stroking. Look for varied textures, not smooth and polished stones.
SIZE: Refers to Weight & Traction benefits. Also, length of time for consistent heat delivery: bigger size stone stays warm longer. Look for stones as big as your palm, including the length of your fingers, or larger for body stones.

Natural seastones are unique, unprocessed and irregularly shaped. We carefully select top grade, high-ore seastones that are free of chips or cracks. We value weight, contour and subtle textures in my massage stones, so you will find a variety of textures, sizes and shapes in your collection .
If, for any reason, you feel that a stone or stones you have received will not work for you, call us.
We will be happy to replace any broken, missing or chipped stones within 10 days of receipt of your order, and we will pay the shipping of the replacements.
AND/OR We can try to find a different stone better suited to your requirements, if you contact us within 10 Days of receipt of your order.
Just return the stone(s) that do not suit you with a drawing (to scale) of what you would like instead, and we will start looking for your replacement stones.
You pay the return shipping on the stone you are returning, and we'll pay the shipping of the first replacement stone shipped back to you. In the event that you desire further replacements that are not due to damage, we will honor your requests and do our best to locate the perfect stones, while you agree to pay the shipping costs both ways of subsequent custom orders. Depending on your custom order, please allow time for this process.
